Treatment
Antiseptic treatment is the best way to make the wood to last longer as it resists rot and decay. Pressure treating is a process of forcing preservatives into the wood fiber of timber to prevent destruction by organic pests - fungi, bacteria and insects - that feed on it.

Our products are pressure treated with a natural green or brown finish. All our decking products can be over painted with most brands of paint or stain.
We use the following timber-protection systems:
- Tanalith E - green / brown
- CCO / AC-500
TANALITH E is the latest generation wood preservative that has unique copper and organic biocide (triazole) formulation allowing TANALITH E treated timber to be used where special environmental concerns or restrictions exist, as well as the everyday construction, landscaping and engineering applications for which treated timber is renovated.
Applies to timber that has been pressure treated with the Osmose Celcure AO CCA preservative, which contains copper, chrome and arsenate for use in external timbers with in-ground contact, as well as out-of-ground, e.g., timber decking, fencing, landscaping timbers and other outdoor timber projects. Offers a 30-year warranty programme.
Osmose Lifewood products will initially have a green appearance. Over a period of time this colour will fade and change to a pleasing driftwood grey.
Applies to timber that has been pressure treated with Osmose copper-based preservatives like the Celcure AC range, for external applications of both in-ground contact and out-of-ground contact, e.g., timber decking, fencing, landscaping timbers and other outdoor timber projects. Offers a 15-year warranty programme. The main active ingredient in the Osmose Naturewood preservative system is copper, which has long been known as an effective wood preservative. The copper is coupled with an organic co-biocide such as quaternary compound (quat) for enhanced performance against copper-tolerant fungi and insects.
